How workflows run in Firmstead
Start a job from a template
A job copies its template’s steps when it starts, so editing a template later only changes new jobs.
Every step has an owner and a due date
Steps are assigned by role on the job, and due dates are set from the job’s start date.
Approvals sign off in order
Review steps can require reviewer, partner and compliance sign-off. Levels sign in order, and nobody approves their own work.
Client requests keep work moving
When every requested document is accepted, a job that was waiting on the client moves to ready to prepare.
